Most Philadelphians don't realize that there is part of Fairmount Park above the Boathouse Row that offer a great view of the city as well as home to some of the most interesting trees in the city. I decided to revisit this area of the park by driving up Lemon Hill Drive and Sedgeley drive to resnap some photos I took last winter.
Lemon Hill Mansion is a Federal-style mansion in the Fairmount Park that is now owned by the City of Philadelphia. It is now operated as a museum by the Colonial Dames of America. Named for the many lemons in Morris's greenhouse, this mansion is designed and built by Henry Pratt in 1799 and he continued to live there until 1838.
Enjoy the journey...ADP
